About the artist: Fatush Cerraga

My name is Fatush Cerraga and I am 18 years old. I was born in Elbasan, Albania and I still live there. I study at Onufri, which is a professional High School for Arts. I have studied the piano for nine years and I have been part of many competitions for which I have been awarded some certificates. Then, looking for my real passion, my professors suggested to continue my artistic expression with sculptures. The more I get engaged with my sculpture works, the more I grow professionally. Moreover, apart from sculpture, my dream and my passion is to study to become an interior designer.

I have started my designs one year ago with design programmes. Thanks to my parents’ support and to my work, I see my future in the field of design. It helps me to express my inner world in the way that I perceive it. I want to create my own style, even though I am inspired by many famous painters and architects.

In my free time, I am part of the active youth by being a volunteer at the Red Cross Organisation and by taking part in several projects of different NGOs. One of them was the project called “Ti krijon” (“You Create”). I like cycling with my best friend. I also like love reading and travelling. I adore nature and walking as nature is my main source of inspiration for my creativity. 

My motto is “Challenge yourself”. With slow but steady steps, you will succeed.
